BIC REQUESTS PAY BACK

The WV Business & Industry Council, of which the Coal Association is a member, has written the Attorney General strongly requesting that an appropriate amount of settlement money from a suit regarding OxyCotin be paid back to the "old" Workers' Compensation Fund.  Such payment would be used to reduce the deficit in the fund and likely shorten the time employers would have to continue to pay surcharges.  The Workers' Comp Fund was one of the three original plaintiffs but none of the money has been returned to any of the plaintiffs.  Instead, the Attorney General has given the money to lawyers and charitable organizations!  BIC Chairman Karen Price's letter is shown below as well as a Daily Mail Editorial in follow-up.
