PEABODY ENERGY RESCUE TEAM WINS CHAMPIONSHIP

Late last month, Peabody Energy Mine Rescue teams won four of the seven national championship trophies at the Department of Labor’s national competition in Nashville.  Three of those were gained by their teams in West Virginia, with their Southern Appalachia teams capturing the first place awards in the Combination Mine Rescue/First Aid and the Mine Rescue competitions.  The Federal No. 2 team was the best overall in First Aid.  Congratulations and thanks for carrying the West Virginia flag so proudly.
