TRANS-ALLEGHENY INTERSTATE LINE DISCUSSED
The Association joined other groups on Tuesday for a press conference emphasizing the need for improving existing lines and building new electric transmission lines in West Virginia. The urgency of the need was emphasized as being important to keeping our people, miners and specialty contractors, working by improving the State’s ability to export electricity made from West Virginia coal. The Association also appeared at the Public Service Commission’s public hearing on Thursday advocating favorable consideration for the Trans-Allegheny Interstate Line (TrAIL), which is Allegheny Energy’s proposed 500-kilovolt transmission line.
