The Friends of Coal social media network is continuing unprecedented growth, adding another 1,400 fans over the past 15 days, bringing our total footprint to 88,271 fans. During that period we made 1,200 posts and received 32,600 incoming comments from 20,600 unique users. In total, we garnered 1.2 million impressions during the two-week period.
Over the past 90 days we added 13,900 new fans and 285 new Twitter followers. We made 6,500 posts and received 164,900 incoming messages and comments from 102,900 unique users. In total, we garnered 6.8 million impressions during the period.
Our Friends of Coal National page has 36,300 fans and our Friends of Coal - West Virginia page has reached 28,900 fans. Also, the new Friends of Coal – Indiana page has seen phenomenal growth since its inception one month ago. It is now at 2,250 likes and growing rapidly. Meanwhile the Friends of Coal - Virginia page is at 7,400 likes and the Friends of Coal – Pennsylvania and Friends of Coal – Ohio pages are at 1,310 and 1,350 likes respectively. The Friends of Coal - North Carolina page is currently at 1,210 likes.
We are also maintaining an active presence on LinkedIn, with 2,788 connections and a total reach of approximately 11.5 million, as well as on the Pinterest and Instagram photo sharing sites.
To put this in perspective, our Friends of Coal’s Klout score (an independent measure of social media influence) is 62.55. By comparison, the Charleston Gazette’s Klout score is 54 and the Charleston Daily Mail’s Klout score is 57. We will keep you updated on our efforts.
