Jim Magro of St. Clairsville will be recognized as the Upper Ohio Valley ’s first Distinguished Eagle Scout on December 4 during a special dinner at Wilson Lodge, Oglebay Park .

MAGRO RECEIVES SPECIAL HONOR
Magro is being recognized for his professional accomplishments as a corporate officer for CONSOL Energy and leader in numerous professional associations, and his community service with Ohio Valley Christian Soldiers, East Richland Evangelical Friends Church, Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics and Sports World Ministries.
The Distinguished Eagle Scout Award was created in 1969 by the Boy Scouts of America to recognize adult Eagle Scouts who have given outstanding service to their community and profession for at least 25 years after receiving their Eagle as a youth. Previous recipients include President Gerald Ford, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, former WVU President David Hardesty and Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton.
