Consol 1973 First Stage of Multi-stage CoalTL

Patent US3748254

As you will see in a report we intend posting tomorrow, the enclosed documentation of technology for the conversion of Coal into liquid hydrocarbons can, indeed, be thought of as a "first stage" in a multi-stage process developed by Consolidation Coal Company, for the essentially complete conversion of the Carbon content of Coal into hydrocarbon products.

Note, especially in schematics available via the link and attached file, that needed Hydrogen is generated in a reaction between hot Coal derivatives and Steam; a method of obtaining Hydrogen for the hydrogenation of Coal's carbonaceous content that is a consistent theme in Consol's, and other major corporations',  processes, as we will continue to document, for the conversion of Coal into hydrocarbon liquids and gasses.

Germany Seeks US CO2 Recycling Patent

Production of Fuel Materials Utilizing Waste Carbon Dioxide and Hydrogen from Renewable Resources

Add Germany's engineering giant, Siemens, to the list of corporations that recognizes Carbon Dioxide - as arises in a small way, relative to natural sources of emission such as volcanism, from our varied and productive uses of Coal - for what it really is: A valuable raw material resource which can be productively and profitably reclaimed and recycled.

First, by way of introduction, according to their corporate web site, Siemens AG is Europe's largest engineering conglomerate; and, is headquartered in Germany, with three main business sectors: Industry, Energy and Healthcare; and, a total of 15 business divisions. Worldwide, they and their subsidiaries employ approximately 420,800 people.

Among those nearly half-million employees are a few bright ones, at least, who realize the potential inherent in freely-available Carbon Dioxide.

1932 Hydrogenated Syngas from Coal & Steam

Process for producing water gas from pulverized coal and steam

We have lately been addressing a number of facts about the conversion of Coal into hydrocarbons.

One fact is that primarily carbonaceous compounds which can be derived from Coal require hydrogenation; that is, they need to be compounded with Hydrogen, in order to enable their efficient conversion into gaseous and liquid hydrocarbon fuels.

Another fact is, that, such needed Hydrogen can be directly and simply produced as an integral function of the Coal conversion process, through straightforward chemical interactions between Steam and hot Coal.

British Petroleum Coal Conversion

United States Patent: 4492772

More than a week ago, we disclosed, via report of United States Patent 2,552,308, concerning a "Low Pressure Hydrocarbon Synthesis" process, issued in 1951 to inventors in Baton Rouge, that they had known, in Louisiana, how to convert their Coal into liquid fuels for more than half a century; and, that their current Gulf Coast oil disaster was thus entirely avoidable and unnecessary - just like all the subsequent OPEC embargoes and Persian Gulf wars we, as a nation, have endured and fought since then.

British Petroleum has no plausible deniability in that regard, either, as demonstrated by the US Patent we enclose, via the above link, in this dispatch.

Consol 1970 Liquid Fuels from Coal

PROCESS FOR MAKING LIQUID FUELS FROM COAL

Yesterday, we reported on Consolidation Coal Company's US Patent 3,503,724, issued to Consol in 1970, for "Producing Mixtures of Methane, Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen", hydrocarbon synthesis gas, in other words, from Coal.

Herein, via the enclosed link and attached file, Consol reveals yet another way they devised, in 1970, to synthesize hydrocarbons from Coal.
